Danielle Myers http://www.soundclick.com/daniellemyers Prepare to be smitten when you visit Danielle Myers' website and listen to her music. At the very least you should prepare to "go country" because there is an infectious enthusiasm about her that will draw you in regardless of your background or musical tastes. Her music offers a delightful mix of good clean "cowgirl" fun that is genuine and convincing. For example "Cowgirl Cadillac" is delivered with so much authentic country charm that you can almost hear the rumble of that "new V8" and see the dust trailing behind that old "powder blue" pickup as it flies down a country road. If you're not "country" after a spin in the "Cowgirl Cadillac" you may well be after the brisk two-stepping fun of "Spin My Heart". If that doesn't do it for you, then Myers' undeniable "cuteness" in "Gotta Babysit Bobby" certainly will. However, its the added dimension of the gospel tunes that sets Danielle Myers so clearly apart from other young country singers. The joy and down to earth emotion of classic gospel standards like "Oh Happy Day" and "Swing Low" resonate on some level with all of us in the human condition. Danielle sings these songs as well as more contemporary favorites such as "Rise Again" and "Mary Did You Know" with obvious conviction. There is a sincerity and innate pathos in her voice that demands attention and compels the listener to consider the message behind the music. As you read Danielle's answers to the CreatorsWeb interview questions below you will be glad to learn that her future plans include more music. Presently you will want to visit her website at http://www.daniellemyers.com where you can add "Cowgirl Cadillac" to your CD collection. |

Music Style And Audience
How do you classify your music?
I enjoy all genre's of music but I guess you could say my main focus is in Country Music. But my first love is
Gospel and I enjoy singing some Blue Grass as well as a little Pop.
Do you target a specific audience? If so, who?
Mostly Country music fans but they love the Gospel as well and I've been known to surprise them with
some bluesy stuff as well.
Musical Instruments - Recording - Computer Hardware - Software
What musical instruments do you play?
Guitar, piano/keyboard, drums, love those spoons (it's a lost art) and I'm still learning the banjo.
Do you record in a home studio?
No.
Musical Background -Influences
How did you get started playing music?
My cousin Bart was teaching me a gospel song that our uncle had written when he realized I had quite a
strong voice for a 10 year old and brought it to the attention of my grandmother and parents. That's when I started singing in local churches as well as my own church with my cousin playing piano for me.
What has influenced your music the most?
Going to my first gospel concert and hearing the Cathedrals and the Gaither vocal quartet with Mark
Lowery. They would have been a huge influence on anyone. And of course the encouragement of my family and friends. I also belonged to a teenage gospel band called the "Graphic Revelations", I was the lead vocalist, while my brother and cousins were the musicians. We played all over the Midwest. That was a fun time for me. I also love Country music. I always listened to all the old favorites, my grandmother's generation of singers, like
Patsy Cline, Hank Williams Sr. and so many others as well, and then of course George Strait came along and I'd have to say he's my all time favorite. What a class act ! But I also like Dwight Yoakum (I've been called the female Dwight Yoakum) and then there's Ty Herndon, he's such a cutie, He's one of my favorites too.
Music And Internet Marketing
How has the Internet effected you as a musician?
My music has been heard around the world. I get e-mails from the 4 corners of the Earth. That
continues to amaze me.
When did you start marketing your music on the Internet?
In March of 2002 on MP3. and now on Soundclick.
What has been the most effective way to market your music on the Internet?
Through MP3 and Soundclick.
Musicians And The Future
What does the future hold for you?
I plan on continuing a career in music when I am done with school. I am
currently attending school.
Finally, is there anything else you want to say about yourself?
Just that I love to sing and it's no secret that I am happiest when I'm
performing and I guess the biggest thrill of all for me was the opportunity to
open for some of the biggest country and gospel acts in the business.
